Starting as a lioness goddess Bast or Bastet was a warrior goddess.
In much the same way as Sekhmet. Bast would destroy.
Also a daughter of Ra (the left eye) Bast went to nubia to destroy. She was then
in isolation for a while. Until she returned around 1000 bc a much nicer goddess
she then took on the form to which she is commenly known, Cat Goddess. A Moon Goddess.
Becoming protecter of the home and family. Goddess of love and joy and festivals. Bast is now more popular then ever.
