Neith was a popular goddess in the area of Sais where she was hailed as the creater and mother of Ra.
In most of egypt she was a warrior goddess, goddess of the hunt. She was one of the 4 goddesses
that protected the canopic jars in the tombs, along with Isis, Nephthys,
and Serqet.
